Summary

Turn up, walk in, and within ten minutes it feels like home. Fleet Street is one of those properties that genuinely surprises people. Bigger than it looks, better equipped than expected, and properly set up for groups who need space to spread out rather than sit on top of each other.

Whether you’re a team working across County Durham, a group needing a comfortable base, or anyone in between, this house has the room and the setup to make it work.

Space

The kitchen is the kind that makes you want to cook. Dark navy shaker units, solid oak worktops, herringbone flooring, a Hisense electric range with double oven, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and plenty of worktop space. No hunting around for the one pan. It’s all there, and it looks good too (not that that matters, but it doesn’t hurt).

The ground floor lounge and dining room is warm and comfortable. Two sofas, a proper dining table with bench seating, and enough room that the whole group can be in the same space without it feeling cramped. There’s also a smart thermostat so you’re not wrestling with ancient heating controls at 11pm trying to figure out why it’s cold.

Four bedrooms sleeping seven or more, depending on configuration. The ground floor twin can be made up as 2 singles or a double, useful if the group has a mix of preferences. Upstairs there are two doubles, a single, and a larger room with a double and single together. Everyone gets their own space around here.

A bold, dark-tiled family bathroom with full bath, clean, well-finished, and stocked ready for your arrival. Separate WC and basin also available.

Up in the converted loft is a separate lounge with its own smart TV and sofa, a proper retreat if someone wants to watch something different or just have five minutes of quiet.

Transit

The A688 and A689 link you across Durham and Teesside without fuss, and you’re well placed for major employers across the region. Durham city is 12 miles. Darlington and the A1(M) are a short drive south.
